Strong, impact resistant, fiberglass reinforced polyester construction withstands extremes in temperature. Boxes will not melt or distort in high heat or shatter in the cold. Tapered and machine tapped device screw holes allow screw to be started by hand and speed installation time with high torque screwdrivers. Patented (US Pat No. 4,724,282) non-metallic Speed "K" Klamps™ positively secure wire--no tools needed. Should a knockout be inadvertently opened and not used, the "K" Klamp is considered sufficient closure of the opening per UL®. Industry Exclusive Fire Wall Rating allows you to mount two Allied fiberglass boxes, up to and including our three gang, in the same stud cavity of fire rated walls without any additional fire resistive protection. Saves a minimum of 75% in material and installation costs.
