Since we began making the first fiberglass outlet boxes in 1958, we have been supplying the industry with high quality, nonmetallic residential electrical boxes designed and manufactured with you in mind.
Outlet Boxes
Allied Moulded Products, Inc began manufacturing fiberglass outlet boxes in 1958. More than fifty years later, our non-metallic outlet box line is the most complete offering and the preferred choice of residential electrical contractors.
It's easy to see why. Our electrical outlet boxes offer excellent resistance to rust, corrosion, and heat while providing a wide range of sizes and styles to suit any project. More importantly, our proprietary fiberglass box construction ensures the non-conductivity, giving our plastic electrical boxes an additional layer of non-conductive protection during use, installation, or replacement. This is one reason why our electrical outlet box fabrication methods are preferred by professional electrical and construction contractors everywhere.
Making Installation Easy
Our full line of residential switch and electrical outlet boxes include options for single gang up to five gang, as well as outlet boxes designed for a 3/O or 4/O round outlet. As with all Allied Moulded products, our primary objective is to allow the contractor to easily locate the correct outlet boxes necessary for their specific needs, the use of letter-coding on our components makes this a snap. For instance, imprinting the letters "SS" on an electrical outlet box notifies the contractor that steel stud screws need to be used to secure that particular outlet box.
Advantages
Our massive selection, fiberglassbox™ construction, and continuing commitment to excellence provide you with the following benefits when choosing Allied Moulded plastic electrical boxes in your construction project:
Strong, impact resistant, reinforced polyester and plastic electrical boxes easily withstand extreme temperatures. Our electrical outlet boxes will not melt or distort in high heat or shatter in the cold.
- The tapered and machine tapped device screw holes on all our outlet boxes allow screws to be started by hand, reducing installation time with high torque screwdrivers.
- Patented nonmetallic Speed "K" Klamps™ positively secure our electrical outlet boxes with no tools needed. Further, if a knockout is inadvertently opened and not used, the "K" Klamp is considered sufficient closure of the opening per UL guidelines.
- Industry Exclusive Fire Wall Rating allows you to mount two fiberglass boxes, up to and including a three gang, in the same stud cavity of fire-rated walls that lack additional fire resistive protection. This saves a minimum of 75% in outlet box material and installation costs.
- Our residential outlet box can meet the needs for both new as well as existing construction, and our continuing dedication to innovative outlet box design and construction mean that upgrading your existing boxes will always be cost-effective and hassle-free.
