Marketing and Sales Coordinator

Allied Moulded Products, Inc. is the contractor’s choice of nonmetallic electrical boxes and enclosures in today’s residential, commercial, and industrial markets. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced marketing and sales coordinator. This position is responsible for supporting the marketing and sales teams by providing administrative and communication support.

Primary responsibilities:

Maintaining marketing collateral, desktop publishing, price lists, newsletters, brochures, sales tech documents, and new vendor forms. Create/edit BOMs in the manufacturing module.

Schedule and implement complex social media marketing strategies and find the most beneficial methods of applying them.

Tracking and processing invoices.

Assisting with the writing, maintaining of content, and updates to the company website.

Develop product positioning materials for sales reps/distribute literature and mailings to regionals, sales reps, and customers.

Assist with sales quoting and contracts as needed.

Assist with pricing and customer databases including IDW (IDEA Connector), Hub spot, and IQMS.

Conduct customer satisfaction survey and provide feedback to the management team.

Photo, video, and graphic design/editing.

Other duties as assigned.

Requires good time management and attention to detail. Must understand basic marketing principles and B2B, B2C, and retail sales channels. Must be self-motivated, work well with others and be an effective communicator. Requires proficient skills in Adobe Suite such as InDesign, Photoshop, etc. Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to report technical content for a wider audience.

Education/Experience:

University degree or college diploma in business, marketing, graphic design or related field preferred.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional sales or marketing position preferred but not required.

Safety Manager

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Safety Manager that is systems-oriented, forward-thinking, and has strong leadership skills. IT Programmer - Analyst

IT Programmer – Analyst for 1st shift. The IT Programmer – Analyst is responsible for designing and developing reports in accordance with company standards and end-user requirements. Successful performance in this role is demonstrated by the timely completion of data extracts, reporting, programs, and view/query creation.

1st Shift Tool and Die Maker

Purpose: This position, under minimal direction, is responsible and accountable for ensuring molds, dies and miscellaneous machining projects are manufactured and maintained to perform to Company standards. They are responsible to plan steps required for set up, manufacturing, and build of new mold and die components, existing mold and die repair, and fixtures.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Follow all safety rules. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  2. Read and understand CAD drawings and tolerancing and able to navigate in 3D CAD environment.
  3. Write or adjust CNC programs using CAM software or at machine console.
  4. Plan out multi-step machining projects and sequence work to complete projects in the most time efficient way.
  5. Setup and use conventional tools and equipment, NC equipment, CNC equipment and EDM equipment to make and/or repair mold components, fixturing or special machining projects based on provided direction.
  6. Move and manipulate molds and dies using overhead crane and forklift.
  7. Complete standard preventive maintenance tasks on molds and dies.
  8. Accurately troubleshoot minor and major mold and die problems and determine appropriate fixes.
  9. Final fit mold and die details by machining or grinding to meet design specifications.
  10. Accurately inspect work performed using conventional inspections tools and gauges.
  11. Plan work on applicable machines to maximize lights out/unattended machining.
  12. Utilize hard milling when appropriate.
  13. Use the applicable modules in IQMS to clock in/out, task time, create PO requisitions, pull tool crib items, create/close MRO work orders, move molds, and use other modules as needed.
  14. Complete tasks and assignment in a timely and efficient manner.
  15. Demonstrate willingness to learn and expand skill set to advance to next level in AMG.
  16. Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, continuous improvement teams as needed.
  17. Work well with engineers, quality, production and other machinists.
  18. Serves as a mentor, when assigned, as part of the AMG mentor program
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Mental/Visual Requirements:

Ability to stay focused in a busy environment to avoid mistakes and maintain safety is critical. Good

close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and the ability to see colors and adjust focus are required.

 

Physical Demands:

This position requires constant standing, use of hands and fingers, and eye-hand coordination.

This position also requires frequent walking, talking, hearing, and occasional sitting, turning,

twisting, bending at waist and reaching with hands and arms. Incumbent must be able to

frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

 

Education/Experience:

Mandatory:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in a machining work environment

Recommended:

1st Shift Truck Driver

1st Shift Buildings and Grounds

Purpose:                     Perform general maintenance on the buildings & grounds & misc. duties.

Hours:                        7:00am to 3:00pm with a 20 minute paid lunch.

 

Essential functions:

  1. Operate lift trucks of all types.
  2. Operate man lift & work overhead 30 to 40’.
  3. Reading & effectively using electrical diagrams.
  4. Reading & effectively using plumbing diagrams.
  5. Performing grounds work (cutting grass, trash pick up, gardening, etc.)
  6. Drive a vehicle with capacity of less than 26,000 GBW for the purpose of delivering goods to specific locations.
  1. Pass licensing requirements and have ability to be approved by Allied Moulded Products Inc. insurance carrier.
  2. Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.

Ability to lift boxes of supplies using hand carts, pallet jack, and lift truck. Boxes of supplies weighing up to 100 pounds with help.

 

Education / Experience:

Should have a High school diploma or GED.

1st Shift NEMA Assembly

Purpose:                     As part of the NEMA team, assemble NEMA boxes by working together at the required rate of production.

 

Essential functions with indication of % of performance time:

  1. Ability to use hand tool, wrench, screwdriver, vise-grip, etc.  (40%)
  2. Ability to use air tools such as drill rivetor & screwdriver. (40%)
  3. Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds safely. (10%)
  4. Perform other related duties as assigned. (5%)

Mental / Visual Requirement:

Normal and concentrated attention and coordination required using tools to assemble NEMA boxes properly. Ability to get into a routine.

 

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.  Ability to use hand tools such as rivetor, drill, etc.  Ability to lift and move baskets of parts using hand carts and pallet jack.  Boxes of supplies may weigh up to 50 pounds.

 

Education / Experience:

High school diploma, GED or one year equivalent experience.  Some experience operating hand tools is a plus.

1st Shift RTM Processor

Purpose:                     Empire Series Assembly and RTM Molding.

 

Essential functions with indication of % of performance time:

  1. Assemble high quality Empire units using jigs, fixtures, pneumatic and cordless drills and rivet guns. (40%)
  2. Mold high quality Empire units using a Gel-coating spray system and a RTM injection machine. (40%)
  3. Trim molded pieces using die grinders, diamond blade saws & sanders. (10%)
  4. Mix filler with resin using a high sheer mixer. (5%)
  5. Other duties as assigned. (5%)
  6. Provide input on how to make the department more efficient & take the initiative to make things better.

 

Mental / Visual Requirements:

Continuous mental and visual requirements when operating lift truck.  Lift Truck License required.  Part time normal and part time concentrated attention required for the RTM processes and assembly. Must have the ability to communicate to fellow employees and supervisor.  Ability to read and understand prints, schedules, spreadsheets and metric units of measure. Must be able to accurately measure chemicals and be able to blend them properly.

 

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs without mechanical assistance.  Good hand – eye coordination is necessary.  Must use good ergonomic sense to manipulate oblong and awkward pieces and parts.  Must be able to push and pull large tables, racks & molds. Must be able to flip molds upside down using a sling and hoist for assistance. Must wear a lab coat while trimming and handling raw fiberglass, while gel coating and trimming.  Must be able to pass the Pulmonary Function test for respirator use.

 

Education / Experience:

High school diploma or GED and successful experience in a job requiring communication and interaction with fellow employees.  Auto body experience is a big plus as well as spray-painting experience. Must have some experience in operating pneumatic powered tools such as grinders, rotary saws and sanders. Must demonstrate a good business sense.   Ability to drive lift truck a plus.

 

Miscellaneous Requirements: 

Must be willing to attend training seminars and classes for continuing education purposes.  Cannot be afraid of getting dirty! You will be working with raw fiberglass, fiberglass dust, catalyst, acetone, adhesives, resin, and resin based gel coat.

2nd Shift Injection Press Operator

Purpose:                     Operate injection press(es) in order to produce a quality part in a reasonable amount of time.

 

Essential functions:

 

  1. Run & maintain multiple presses
  2. Responsible for start up & shut down of presses
  3. Able to identify & correct any press problems that may occur
  4. Keep press logs up to date with accurate information (press settings, adjustments, material formulations, etc.).
  5. Use quality plans & boards, pin gauges, etc.
  6. Use tools such as drill, hammer, pick, pry bar, putty knife, etc.
  7. Able to drill out the sprue holes inside of hot molds
  8. Able to operate a robotic ear-loader
  9. Clean the inside of hot molds with dry ice at scheduled intervals and as needed with tools provided.
  10. Read & interpret heat layouts & quality plans
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned.
  12. Build constructive relationships by taking the initiative to make things better.

 

Mental / Visual Requirement:

 

Normal and concentrated attention and coordination required using tools to set up and adjust machines properly. Ability to communicate to employees and Supervisor.

 

Physical Demands:

 

Ability to drill out the sprue holes inside of molds for an extended period of time.  Ability to lift and move baskets of parts and boxes of bulk molding using hand carts, and pallet jack.  Boxes of supplies may weigh up to 50 pounds. Ability to walk for long periods of time. Summer temperatures can be warm in this area.
