Data Analyst

SUMMARY
The Data Analyst is responsible for designing and developing reports in accordance to company standards and end-user requirements.  Successful performance in this role is demonstrated by the timely completion of data extracts, reporting, programs, and view/query creation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Meets with Managers, Supervisors and End-Users to understand reporting and data needs.
  • Designs and maintains company Crystal Reports, Dashboards, Scorecards, In-house programs, views/queries and data using industry standard tools (i.e. SQL .NET and Visual Studio) and techniques.
  • Validates existing extracts, views/queries and reports and identifies advanced reporting needs.
  • Develops and provides clear documentation and training of programmed solutions.
  • Provides support for ongoing development, maintenance and remediation of reporting and data that have been developed as systems are upgraded or changed.
  • Helps the IT Department complete projects and participates in IT meetings and on-call rotation.
  • Provides End-User Help Desk Support as needed.
  • Monitors emerging technology developments and identifies innovations with potential high payoffs for the system.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field and 2 plus years of experience as a programmer preferred.  Or an Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field with 4 plus years’ experience as a Programmer and or equivalent programming experience preferred.  Individual should understand manufacturing practices, be familiar with Crystal Reports, SQL queries and DB maintenance.

Designer

SUMMARY
Position supports the engineering function through the proficient use of CAD/Solid modeling by providing free-thinking within given constraints and communicating effectively in meetings with active participation in project team environments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Use the CAD system to create/revise solid models and drawings as needed.
  2. Must be able to multi-task and follow established Allied business processes.
  3. Creatively develop design options and solutions for consideration
  4. Participate/lead projects with established deliverable/expectations/requirements through to completion
  5. Work with tool shops, suppliers, customers
  6. Assist manufacturing with tool sampling and troubleshooting
  7. Research standards, technology, components, applications, etc.
  8. Develop packaging specifications.
  9. Develop functional testing parameters and/or conduct testing as needed to effectively identify problems, discover solutions and drive implementation.
  10. Second check drawings and models of others
  11. Share best practices and collaborate with others in engineering
  12. Process ECNs as needed
  13. Participate and support teams in process improvement activities.
  14. Maintain tracking of time and project notes
  15. Perform other duties as assigned
  16. Available for overtime as needed
  17. Train, mentor, and lead by example to build constructive relationships by taking the initiative to make things better.

MENTAL/VISUAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to think logically, good mechanical aptitude, concentrated attention to detail, able to recognize design weaknesses and discover solutions, able to think outside the box and brainstorm new ways of doing things.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Light physical effort required; lifting and carrying parts, regularly walking through facility, standing for short periods to observe machines/presses

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Design or Mechanical Engineering preferred (or related degree), preferably with some on the job experience in this field.  An associate degree in engineering will be considered with appropriate level of experience or three years- experience in an equivalent field.   Hands on experience with molding machines, 3D Printing, robotics and auxiliary equipment desired.
